Scientific Sessions hosts Frontiers in Science Summits

Story3The AHA is excited to host four Frontiers in Science Summits: Arrhythmia Research, Stem Cells, Thrombosis and Vascular Disease summits at Scientific Sessions 2016. Each Frontiers in Science Summit will dedicate one full day to profile scientific advances in quick, lightning-speed sessions focused on presenting the latest breakthroughs and pre-publication discovery.

The Frontiers in Science: Stem Cells Summit will focus on all aspects of stem cell research. Featuring key industry leaders, such as Eduardo Marban, MD, PhD, FAHA, and Victor Dzau, MD, sessions include “Stem Cell Biology,” “Paracrine Mediators of Stem Cell Bioactivity,” “Integrative Models and Translation,” “Clinical Trials: Tools, Resources, and Constraints” and “Frontiers in Stem Cells.”

Another addition — the Precision Medicine Summit — will explore this rapidly growing approach to disease prevention and individualized care. Precision medicine combines scientific research with the details of a patient’s specific genes, environment and lifestyle habits.

Led by industry giants, such as AHA President Steven Houser, PhD, FAHA, and FDA Commissioner Robert Califf, MD, FAHA, sessions include “Diagnosing Disease With New Genomic Technology,” “Precision Therapeutics for Cardiovascular Disease: The FDA Perspective” and “Personalizing CV Surgery.”
