Networking tops reasons to be in NOLA

eP2_MainArt_smallYou’ve come to expect big things from Scientific Sessions, and this year we’ve gone even bigger with our networking opportunities. At Scientific Sessions 2016, Nov. 12-16 in New Orleans, you’ll find many venues and activities that allow you to rub shoulders with the big names in cardiovascular research and science. Consider these opportunities:

  1. Frontiers in Science: Stem Cell Summit. Learn about the latest stem cell breakthroughs and pre-publication discoveries. Industry leaders will present lightning-speed sessions on stem cell biology; paracrine mediators of stem cell bioactivity; integrative models and translation; clinical trial tools, resources and constraints; and frontiers in stem cells. Scientific Sessions 2016 also offers three other one-day Frontiers in Science Summits: the Arrhythmia Research Summit, Thrombosis Summit and Vascular Disease Summit.
  2. Precision Medicine Summit. Explore this rapidly growing approach to disease prevention and individualized care, which combines scientific research with the details of a patient’s specific genes, environment and lifestyle habits. Precision medicine experts will present several sessions, including diagnosing disease with genomic technology, the FDA’s perspective on precision therapeutics for cardiovascular disease and personalizing cardiovascular surgery.
  3. Interventional Central. This area will provide a home base for interventionalists to gather, network, exchange information and relax. Additionally, educational programming offered throughout Scientific Sessions will be catered to this community of clinicians. All of this will work together to provide a “meeting within a meeting” atmosphere for inverventionalists.
  4. Integrated Exhibit Hall and Poster Areas New this year, Scientific Sessions offers an integrated exhibit and poster hall — creating a bigger and better experience for attendees. Posters will be located in six areas throughout the Science & Technology Hall, and poster hours will coordinate with exhibit hall hours. Additionally, Rapid-Fire Theaters will be located throughout the related science areas.
