Scientific Sessions brings bigger technology

eP5_Story1_smallStay on the cutting edge of new technology in cardiovascular science and clinical practice at Scientific Sessions 2016, Nov. 12-16 in New Orleans. Learn about the latest innovations in clinical practice, prevention and basic science through three highly anticipated programs.

Health Tech Sessions: Immerse yourself in four Health Tech education sessions, offered Monday, Nov. 14, and all conveniently located in the same convention center room. Speakers will cover 19 Health Tech topics, including the role of mobile apps and electronic health record decision aides, health technology and big data, telemedicine and social media, and texting to improve health.

Also make sure to attend the emerging technologies abstract presentations. Thirty-one 90-minute talks, offered Sunday, Nov. 13-Tuesday Nov. 15, will focus on health tech, digital health tools and novel models and markers.

HealthTech Competition: Watch medical startups that have a focus on cardiac health demonstrate a spectrum of healthcare innovations before a panel of cardiologists, venture capitalists and industry thought leaders. Held from 1:45 to 3:15 p.m., Monday, Nov. 14, in Booth 1103 in the Science & Technology Hall, the event will bring 10 companies together to vie for two awards — Judge’s Choice and Audience Favorite. Award recipients will be honored based on how well a product addresses the needs of patients and providers and the potential to improve patient outcomes.

Health Tech Pavilion: Throughout the day on Monday, Nov. 14, watch competitors from the HealthTech Competition demonstrate their innovative healthcare technologies in the Health Tech Pavilion in the Science & Technology Hall, Booth 1219.
