Attendees share ideas through networking

AHA Scientific Sessions 2017 drew more than 10,000 cardiovascular specialists to Anaheim, California, for five days of intensive learning and sharing of ideas. With so many industry thought leaders gathering in one place, it’s no surprise the meeting resulted in many networking opportunities. While countless informal exchanges took place in the hallways and lobbies, Scientific Sessions also offered some formalized networking events.

EP Central

Dedicated to learning for electrophysiologists, this area in the Science & Technology Hall offered non-CME accredited educational activities, career development activities and information relevant to the EP community across the AHA.

Interventional Central

This learning hub in the Science & Technology Hall provided interventionalists with the opportunity to gather and share ideas. They also participated in career development discussions and educational, engaging programming including a global game show and challenging cases.

Meet the Trialists

Select researchers from the Late-Breaking Science sessions presented additional study information in the Meet the Trialists area on the Science & Technology Hall. Attendees were able to ask questions of the presenters in this informal setting.

Two lounges, catered to two specific audiences, were available during Sessions. Those in the early stages of their careers gathered in the Early Career Engagement Lounge to meet mentors and gain insight into career development. Fellows of the AHA relaxed in the FAHA Lounge, to network with peers.
