Although data shows aspirin plays an important role in the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease (CVD), significant educational gaps remain among healthcare professionals who treat patients with this disease. Furthermore, despite the long-established benefits of aspirin therapy in the primary and secondary prevention of CVD, this modality is underutilized in clinical practice. This program will give clinicans guidance on identifying patients at risk of CVD and offer the safety and efficacy data of aspirin and its benefits regarding cardioprevention. In addition, this program will cover impressive data on the role of aspirin in the prevention of ischemic stroke and, with long-term use, the reduced incidence of colorectal cancer (CRC). Participants will then gain competence in tailoring antiplatelet strategies for their patients by applying current data into clinical practice through case discussion.
